English in Cambridge
The Byron School Cambridge has provided high-quality English teaching since 1992, specialising in intensive courses for small classes.
Our school
We offer an environment that is supportive, stimulating and very different from the norm, with classrooms in the garden of the family home and a strong emphasis on English culture as well as language.
Students make fast progress in classes with a maximum of eight people. The atmosphere is personal, so no-one has a chance to feel lost. Our students have come from all over the world and across a wide age range.
We are best suited to people who want to improve their English through active participation in the classroom and in our cultural activities programme.
A focused environment
Small groups mean more personal time with the teacher, more time speaking in class and teaching aimed closely at each student's needs.
Courses
Open courses run in July and August and may be joined at any level and at any time. The minimum course length is one week.
From September to June, teaching can focus on Cambridge examinations, IELTS and TOEFL, as well as General, Business and Academic English.
Outside the summer programme, courses are arranged for groups of three to eight students, with assessment at the beginning of each course.
